Sunday |
Arrival in Aix. Welcome cocktail and dinner at Jill’s home and studio l’Abeille. Check supplies. |
Monday |
Learning to mix a palette and some drawing exercises. Lunch at studio. Afternoon: artist’s demonstration and studio painting. |
Tuesday |
Landscape painting in the Aix countryside (morning painting session, lunch, then afternoon painting session). |
Wednesday |
Morning session in Cassis (small port on the Mediterranean). Lunch in Cassis. Afternoon session in Cassis. |
Thursday |
Painting session in the Aix Flower Market. Lunch in Aix. Free afternoon. Early dinner. Evening sunset painting (optional). |
Friday |
Still life or garden scene at Jill’s studio. Individual critiques. Afternoon: hang paintings. Evening exhibit, cocktail reception/dinner. |
Monday to |
8:30am is pick-up time at the hotel. You will return around 6:00pm. |
Note: The schedule may be modified as local conditions require. The selected areas to paint — Aix, St. Rémy de Provence, Arles, Cassis, Vallon des Auffes, Bonnieux, poppy fields, sunflower fields, lavender fields, seascapes, hill towns are chosen according to the seasons and the demand of the participants.

Requirements: Must enjoy the outdoors and be physically capable to walk a certain distance and be ready to work hard. Bring old clothes and comfortable walking shoes. This is not a fashion show week. It’s a work week.
