Jill Steenhuis is an American-born French Impressionistic painter based in the South of France. Specializing in oil painting, lithography and watercolor, Jill captures the essence of Provence with her own personal poetry and vibrant energy.

After three years of filming, James Ruffato, Jill Steenhuis’ son, has achieved a captivating, inspiring, and insightful work of great beauty. In this full-length documentary film, the viewer is invited to enter into the quiet and intimate world of Jill’s prolific, creative, spiritual energy. The film focuses on the artist’s journey from Atlanta to Aix-en-Provence, and how she found her raison d’être.

Thursday @12PM EST LIVE with the Olmsted Plein Air Invitational for a Duo Demo

I will be setting up two canvases, and using the same still life motif as inspiration to demonstrate the differences in the painting techniques and creative processes of Paul Cézanne and Vincent Van Gogh.
