Painting the Invisible is a full-length documentary film that follows American plein-air painter Jill Steenhuis as she navigates the landscapes of Provence in search of inspiration for her creative practice. Shot over a three-year span by the artist’s son James Ruffato, the film invites the viewer to enter into the quiet and intimate world of the artist’s prolific, creative and spiritual energy.

Sergio Ruffato —

Since 2012, Jill Steenhuis has been exhibiting her work with her son, Sergio Ruffato, a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design. Sergio specializes in metal forging techniques and creates sculptures, jewelry and custom design pieces.
