Travel Tips —

Flights should be booked into Marseille Provence Airport (20 minutes from Aix). You may also fly into Nice and take a bus from the airport to Aix-en-Provence (2 hours), or into Paris and take the TGV train down to Aix-en-Provence (3 hours).

During the workshop, transportation to and from your lodgings, as well as to the various painting sites, is included in the workshop cost. Your evenings and shopping time in Aix-en-Provence will be on foot, so there is no need for a car!

Please note that this workshop includes limited free time. Of course, there are a few open slots in the schedule here or there, and a few evenings to wander around the streets of Aix, but the workshop tends to be quite intensive.

If you are looking to have some more time for visiting at your own pace, you may want to arrive a few days early. This will help you adjust to the time difference, give you some time to walk the streets of Aix, visit the markets, museums, and maybe even do some sightseeing around the region.

Or, you might want to stay for a few days once the workshop is over. This could give you more time to research your plans, get recommendations, make reservations, and then do some exploring post-painting.

We are happy to give you travel recommendations with places to visit, things to do in the area and restaurants not to miss! Let us know how we can help you make your plans.

We highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance before coming on this trip, to provide you with peace of mind, and to be prepared for the unexpected.

Make sure that you have up-to-date medical insurance and additional emergency evacuation assistance in case of injury or illness.

It is important to note that the workshop requires good physical and mental condition. We will often be painting outdoors, walking on uneven terrain, and also going on excursions that will involve extensive periods of walking.

Jill will get back to you quickly.
